Milestones, for some they can mean making it to the top of Mount Everest, for others, surviving to see the next sunrise. Technically of course, it measures the distance that you have traveled from one place to the next.

I do not know about you dear reader, but for me, it is hard for me to see the milestones on my path, larger ones stand out like graduating high school or moving out of the house. Recently, I have finally begun to see how important the little ones are.

Moments that solidified friendships that have lasted over a decade or picking up a little kitten and falling madly in love. Decisions like making the decision to take a break from school, going to see a therapist for the first time and deciding to take medication. Choices, like returning to school to finish my degree, finding a part time job, and even restarting this blog after almost a year.

They are all small, but important milestones, marking how far you have come climbing out of the pile of s*** life has thrown at you, and really matter more than the big ones. The big milestones are the ones everyone around you can see, but the small ones show you alone the progress you are making, even if you slip up along the way.

What so you do when you have no idea where your life is going?

If you have the answer, let me know.
